SAM, Inc.'s Land Surveying Department mobilizes up to 28 field surveying crews in 4-wheel drive vehicles fully equipped with the latest data collection and communication technology – such as Leica Robotic Total Stations and dual-frequency GPS. Automated digital data collection in the field combined with state-of-the-art, fully integrated CAD workstations in the office - equipped with the latest AutoCAD, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, Pole CAD, GEOPAK, CAiCE, and SMDS applications for survey computations - ensure a quality product, added value, and accuracy in every project we deliver. Our data collection and processing systems generate output files in multiple formats for seamless integration with client protocols according to project specifications.
Our Land Surveying teams serve over 500 different clients on projects of various sizes. SAM, Inc. has held continuous contracts for professional surveying services with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the City of Austin since 1994.
