Internships and Recruitment Opportunities
SAM, Inc. is actively recruiting college graduates with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Surveying/Geomatics or related science degree. Qualified graduates will find opportunities to pursue a career in the surveying profession and to work with a highly qualified staff of professional surveyors, engineers, and photogrammetrists using state-of-the-art technology. Summer Internships are available to qualified students currently enrolled in survey related degree programs. SAM, Inc. is a strong advocate of higher education for surveying professionals and supports survey education programs across Texas through financial and equipment contributions. SAM, Inc. has a staff of professionals and technicians equipped with the latest computer hardware, software, and communications technologies available to the industry. Our client base includes engineering, architectural and design firms, construction and utility companies, and various governmental entities from local municipalities to federal agencies.

SAM, Inc. Scholarship Program
The purpose of the SAM, Inc. Scholarship Program is to recruit, train, and hire the next generation of company leaders, and to build and grow the pool of trained and capable surveyors in Texas . SAM Scholarships are designed to encourage, recognize and support exceptional surveying and mapping students.
The SAM Scholarship is eligible to motivated students pursuing either a two-year degree in surveying technology or four-year degree in surveying or closely related degree programs, such as Geomatics or surveying engineering, at a Texas based college or university. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA, and complete an 8-week Summer Internship with SAM, Inc. the summer prior to scholarship award.
The scholarship award is $1,000 per student, per school year, divided into two installments of $500 each. SAM Scholarship winners who continue to meet appropriate criteria (2.5 GPA, Land Survey major in Texas School , Summer Internship with SAM) will continue to receive assistance through their 2 or 4 year degree program.

Community Education Program Support
SAM, Inc. supports local educational establishments with donations of land surveying equipment, computer workstations, and software to promote public awareness and encourage students to consider studies leading to professional careers in mapping, surveying, and geographical information systems. SAM, Inc. offers a 1-hour seminar on Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) to licensed architects and engineers that in some instances may be applied to meet part of the annual training requirement for continuing education in Texas.
